Welcome to Just Baby & Me

This website/blog is dedicated to and for all single parents. But if you were a lone parent that is now in a relationship we would apperciate your views to help support other embarking on a new relationship.

Life as a single parent isn't an easy one, some days your little rays of sunshine are just that and others (usually when you're not feeling at your best) they can be little tornadoes of mayhem and just as noisy. The benefits of going it alone is 1) what you say goes, 2) the pride of managing it alone 3) you get to raise them the way you want and there's no-one there to argue the toss with you. There are downsides though, 1) unlike couples you don't always have someone there to help support you in the middle of the night when they just won't sleep, 2) if you don't get out enough it can become lonely and you may well feel isolated, 3) parenting magazine are aimed and generally marketed with families in mind. This in some cases is worse for single dad's as the magazines are mainly aimed at women readers, and even though the number of single mothers is higher than single fathers they are out there. This website/blog is for all single parents, as a source of information, suggestions, idea's and general topics relating to raising children on your own.

I will be covering a variety of topics but if there is anything that you would like to discuss, or a topic you would like posted please contact me with you suggestions.

If you have a story you would like to share, or some useful advice/tips, or would like to become a regular contributor to the blog please contact me.

Mission Statement

I am a single mum who loves her little boy, but does at times find it very hard and loney raising a child on her own. My dad left when I was only 5 and I had always wanted my child to have 2 parents but somethings are not meant to be. Now I am happier in some ways as it is my choice on how I bring him up and I am not answerable to anyone. But as any single parent knows its not easy and can get you down from time to time. That is why I have created this website/blog, to bring together single parents to give a sense of support and understanding in the good and bad times.

Going it alone needn't be lonely.
